Circa 1900, Set of 2 Benedict Silver Plate Candlesticks - Edwardian Period - Antique Silver Plate
An exquisite pair of substantial Edwardian period, silver plate candlesticks by Benedict Manufacturing Company. Candlesticks feature a floral swag pattern on each side, along with a floral pattern between each floral swag. Each candlestick features a beautiful patina that only time and use can bring. A wonderful, rich presence with this set. They are solid and heavy with a wide, rounded, square shaped base. Benedict Mfg. Co. was active between 1894 to 1953.
Exact date of production unknown. Circa 1900.
Markings
- Marked "BENEDICT” with a diamond symbol featuring a "B" on either end of the diamond shape with a between in the middle of the "B's"
- Number 2120
- Mark not visible on bottom of candlestick with wear on bottom of base
Condition:
- Original condition
- Candlesticks have been cleaned
- Freshly polished
- Signs of use/ wear including: dings, dents, scratches, discoloration & loss of finish on both candlesticks (please view detail photos for condition)
- Wear on bottom of one of the candlesticks (please view photos for detail shots)

- Height: approx 4 1/2” inches tall
- Base Diameter: 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" rounded/ square shape base
- Candle Opening: approx. 1 1/2" (larger than standard/ normal candle opening)
