Yes, in my role as an Antique & Vintage Dealer, I can identify your item(s) and provide you with an estimated auction value and/ or a realistic figure you could expect to receive if you wish to sell your item.
Identifying your item(s) will assist you in not only learning about your object(s), but in making an educated decision in today’s resale market.
Identification services are available for a single item to an entire household or business full of contents.

What types of items do I identify?
I specialize in 19th and 20th century fine art and decorative art objects. This includes antique and vintage items such as: silver, furniture, ceramics, pottery, porcelain, books, vintage fashion, glass, textiles, toys, paintings, sculpture, works of art on paper, prints, frames, photography, and general household contents.

What is an identification service?
Identification services provide you with information regarding your item(s) along with current market trends.
Information includes details such as artist/ maker, time period, style, and more + approximate auction estimates for your items.
If findings from identification services indicate your item has potential of high value or cultural significance, a formal USPAP-compliant appraisal will be recommended.

Identification Services: $50 Per Item | Fee due at time of service
For 1-3 items

What type of information will you ask for?
Information Required from Client to Complete Identification Summary:
Please email item information along with photographs to elizabeth@ebcovintage.com This information is required on each object you would like identified.
Item Information Required:1.] Item Description/ Title - Provide a brief description of item
2.] Signatures/ Labels/ Manufacturer’s Names/ Markings - Provide detail on any identifying marks, signatures, names, etc. that are visible on the piece
3.] Item Dimensions - Provide dimensions of item [Length x Width x Height]4.] Item Condition - Provide details of the item’s condition [For example, if you have a painting on canvas - Is there major paint loss? Holes in the canvas? Broken frame, etc.?]
5.] Provenance of Item - How did you acquire this item? [Did you inherit this item? Did you purchase the item? If so, where? Please provide any details/ knowledge you have of the piece.]6.] Additional Information - Please provide any additional information you have on the item that would be helpful
Photographs Required from Client + Photography Tips:1.] A clear, front facing photo of the item
2.] Clear photos of the back, sides, and bottom of the item
3.] Detail (zoom in!) photographs of any identifying details such as signatures, manufacturer’s labels, etc.
4.] Please take all photos in natural light
5.] Please check your photos to confirm they are not blurry or out of focus
6.] Please be aware that I may need to request additional photographs from you to confirm specific details of your item

Onsite, in-person review of items is available at $150 per hour, with a one hour minimum charge. This option is available for those in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Upstate, SC, and surrounding areas.
