SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

This listing is for identification of 4 to 6 objects, per hour at $150 per hour, by virtual review (photograph).

Onsite, in-person review of items is available for clients in the Spartanburg/ Upstate of South Carolina Region and surrounding areas. Please email Elizabeth at elizabeth@ebcovintage.com for additional details on scheduling an in-person, onsite visit.

As an Antique & Vintage Dealer, I can assist in the identification of your item(s) and provide you with information regarding your item(s) along with current market trends. Information provided can include details such as artist/ maker, time period, style, and more + approximate auction estimates for your items and/ or a realistic figure you could expect to receive if you wish to sell your item.

If findings from identification services indicate your item has potential of high value or cultural significance, a formal USPAP-compliant appraisal will be recommended.

Time Frame: Approx. Two Weeks to Several Months once all applicable information has been received from the client.
Completion of your Identification Summary will depend on several factors: the number of items being identified, amount of research involved with each item(s), and if additional expert opinion is required.

Information Required from Client to Complete Identification Summary:

Please email item information along with photographs to elizabeth@ebcovintage.com [This information is required on each object you would like identified.]

Item Information Required:

  • Item Description/ Title - Provide a brief description of item

  • Signatures/ Labels/ Manufacturer’s Names/ Markings - Provide detail on any identifying marks, signatures, names, etc. that are visible on the piece

  • Item Dimensions - Provide dimensions of item [Length x Width x Height]

  • Item Condition - Provide details of the item’s condition [For example, if you have a painting on canvas - Is there major paint loss? Holes in the canvas? Broken frame, etc.?]

  • Provenance of Item - How did you acquire this item? [Did you inherit this item? Did you purchase the item? If so, where? Please provide any details/ knowledge you have of the piece.]

  • Additional Information - Please provide any additional information you have on the item that would be helpful

Photographs Required from Client + Photography Tips:

  • A clear, front facing photo of the item

  • Clear photos of the back, sides, and bottom of the item

  • Detail (zoom in!) photographs of any identifying details such as signatures, manufacturer’s labels, etc.

  • Please take all photos in natural light

  • Please check your photos to confirm they are not blurry or out of focus

  • Please be aware that I may need to request additional photographs from you to confirm specific details of your item
