Morgantown Crinkle Pattern Drink Glass in Amber - Set of 6 - Water Goblet Glass - Biomorphic Shape Glasses Drinkware - 1960s Barware
A set of 6 Morgantown drink glasses in the Crinkle pattern in the Amber colorway. This is a beautiful set of biomorphic shaped glasses with a textured, crinkle pattern on the exterior and interior of glasses. When moving into the White House in 1961, Jackie Kennedy selected a pattern by Morgantown Glass Company to serve as the official glassware for the White House.

Very good condition with light signs of age and wear present to the piece.

- "In 1961 the Morgantown Glass Company gained national recognition when First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy chose a simple Morgantown glassware pattern as the official crystal service for the White House. - "The Morgantown Glass Works was founded in 1899 near the Seneca Glass Company of Morgantown, West Virginia where it produced hand blown glassware of high quality. In the early years, colorless glass was their main production line producing blown glass tumblers and pressed tableware. By 1901, the Morgantown Glass Works had about 600 employees and had branch offices and salesrooms in a number of larger cities, including Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and St. Louis."
