1960s, Dansk Variation V New French Solid Knife – Germany – 2 Count – Jens Quistgaard
A pair of 2 new French solid knives, early 1960s, in the Danish modern pattern, Variation V, designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Variation V was introduced in 1957 and original production ran until 1978. Clean, minimalist, mid-century lines. Original production in the early years (late 1950s to mid-1960s) was in Germany, Denmark, and Finland before moving overseas to Japan and later other countries.
Measurements:
- Each knife measures approx. 8 ½ ” long
Markings:
- Each knife stamped on the back with 4 Ducks logo + JHQ Designs + Germany
Condition:
- 1 knife with nicks, dings, and staining
- 1 knife with normal signs of use appropriate for age of item
- It is difficult to capture imperfections on stainless steel by photo but please know while in decent overall condition, this set is not in a perfect, unused state
- These knives have been used and do show wear
- Light staining throughout
