A 1930s/ 1940s, Homer Laughlin platter in the Virginia Rose platter style ("Virginia Rose" is not the pattern name, but the name of the "blank" (the dish/ platter)) in Pattern F 46 N 8.
Exact date of production unknown. Circa 1930.
Platter does show sign of age and use – please see Condition Report listed below.
Markings:
- Homer Laughlin // VIRGINIA ROSE // MADE IN U.S.A. // F 46 N 8
Condition:
- Signs of wear/ use to front and back of platter (please see photos for close-up shots of piece)
- Chips present along the rim of the platter in multiple places (Please view Photos #3 thru #8 closely)
- Heavy signs of use
- Discoloration from age and use
- Utensil marks present
- Crackle glaze
Measurements:
- Length – approx. 11 ¾” inches long
- Width – between 8 1/2" to 8 ¾” inches wide (at widest point (the center) of the platter)
