1960s/1970s, Square Ceramic Salt & Pepper Shakers - Stylized Corn Husk Design - Signed MARYELLA - Made in Japan

A pair of vintage ceramic, square salt and pepper shakers featuring a stylized, illustrated corn husk design. Made in Japan.

Signs of wear present. Plastic plugs present on each shaker.

Exact date of production unknown. Circa 1970.


Markings:
- Sticker on Base of each Shaker: Our Own Import (C) JAPAN
- Name, "MARYELLA", in left hand corner on one square on shaker - on each shaker. Likely the illustrator/ designer of this design/ pattern. (See Photo #4.)

Measurements:
- Height - approx. 2" inches tall
- Base Diameter - approx. 2" inches square

Condition:
- Light signs of wear present
- Signs of wear include: wear/ discoloration to base of each shaker and flecks of black present on top of shakers - primarily on the salt shaker (Please see Photos #3, #5 & #6 for detail shots.)
- Plastic plugs present on each shaker
