Unique Vintage Portrait

Portraits are fascinating. As humans we like to look at other humans and see how we compare — do we look alike, how are we similar, how are we different, what makes their face interesting, etc.

Original art has a soul to it that is very special, and when I spotted this work — the face, the line work, use of pastel/ charcoal on a green background sealed the deal for me. What does it for me is the green paper background — not something you normally see with a portrait.

A striking portrait on a different background make this piece — in my opinion — excellent.
